Like its name literally suggests, Coffee Valley is a quaint cafe located at an (v)alley off Jalan Trus, a stretch of road which inhabits old-fashioned shop-houses and eateries, such as the Faculty of Caffeine. With the aroma of freshly grounded coffee beans whiffing through the air and soft music serenading in the background, it is no wonder why this cafe never fails to attract both regulars and newcomers.
We were recommended the Signature original waffle (RM10.50) by one of the friendly staff. The waffle was beautifully done, a desired fluffiness coated with a crust of crispiness, topped with a gigantic scoop of vanilla ice cream and fruits (could definitely do more), and drizzled with salted butter sauce.
To go along, we had the Iced Peppermint Chocolate (RM10) - a refreshing minty, yet chocolaty drink, topped with soft and fluffy marshmallows. A perfect drink for any hot and humid day.
For myself, I need my daily caffeine fix, so the obvious choice is their Cappuccino Ice Blended (RM11). Unlike Starbucks and other mainstream coffee-houses, this had a distinct flavour, the one that brings depth and a tinge of caffeine bitterness. Moreover, this is cheaper. Well, slightly.
As its name suggests, Coffee Valley is literally located at a valley off Jalan Trus. Try looking for this green arch and the cafe's signage.
And a series of stairs that lead you directly to Coffee Valley.
